The 2021 protest deadline is May 17th for *most* real property accounts!
We will do our best to work all eFile tickets about technical issues received before 8pm on that date. Tickets submitted after 8pm may not be worked until the next business day. Issues related to the Online Appeals website and submission of a Helpdesk ticket does NOT extend your deadline.
If you are unable to file online before your protest deadline but you still wish to protest, your written protest form or protest letter must be postmarked by midnight on the date of the deadline. For your convenience, we also have a drop-box available just outside our main entrance doors. The drop-box will be emptied at midnight, anything left in it after that time will NOT be considered timely filed.
Collin Central Appraisal District 250 Eldorado Pkwy McKinney TX 75069-8023
Some Post Offices are open late; you can use the USPS locator tool to find DFW area locations and their hours.
* - May 15th is the usual protest deadline for real property (unless otherwise stated on your Notice of Appraised Value).
